Your health, safety, and comfort are important to us at Travel Minded Limited Reading Retreats. We take reasonable and proportionate steps to create a safe and welcoming retreat environment and ask all guests to support this by following the guidance outlined below.
Participation in the retreat and any related activities is voluntary and undertaken at your own risk. These guidelines are designed to promote wellbeing and safety but do not replace personal responsibility or professional medical advice.

Personal Responsibility & Participation
By attending a Travel Minded Reading Retreat, you confirm that:
You are physically and mentally fit to take part
You will act responsibly and follow all health, safety, and staff guidance
You will only participate in activities you feel comfortable undertaking
Failure to comply with safety guidance or behavioural standards may result in removal from certain activities or, in serious cases, from the retreat without refund.
Medical Information & Health Needs
To help us support you during the retreat, please:
Inform us of any medical conditions, allergies, or dietary requirements during registration
Bring an adequate supply of any personal medication and understand how to use it
Travel Minded Limited does not provide on-site medical professionals. In the event of illness or injury, staff can assist in contacting local emergency services but are not responsible for medical treatment.
First Aid & Emergency Procedures
First aid kits will be available on site
Designated staff members may be trained in basic first aid
Professional medical care is not provided by Travel Minded Limited
In an emergency, please follow staff instructions, evacuation procedures, and proceed to the designated assembly point if required.
Accommodation & Venue Safety
Guests are asked to:
Familiarise themselves with accommodation layouts, emergency exits, and evacuation routes
Report any safety concerns or maintenance issues to organisers promptly
Avoid tampering with fire alarms, safety equipment, or emergency signage
Activities & Physical Movement
Some retreat activities may involve light physical movement or exertion.
Please:
Notify organisers of any health concerns that may affect participation
Wear suitable clothing and footwear for planned activities
Only take part in activities you feel physically and medically comfortable with
Food, Allergies & Dietary Requirements
We aim to accommodate dietary needs where possible.
Guests should:
Provide dietary and allergy information during registration
Inform organisers of any serious allergies in advance
Carry appropriate medication for severe allergies
While reasonable care is taken, we cannot guarantee a completely allergen-free environment.
Hydration, Sun & Outdoor Safety
When spending time outdoors:
Stay well hydrated
Use sunscreen with an appropriate SPF
Seek shade during peak sun hours (approximately 10:00–16:00)
Take breaks as needed and listen to your body
Respect, Hygiene & Shared Spaces
To ensure a positive experience for all guests, please:
Respect the personal space and privacy of others
Maintain good personal hygiene, including regular handwashing
Treat fellow participants, staff, and venue teams with courtesy and consideration
Photography & Social Media
We value privacy within our retreat spaces.
Please:
Ask for permission before taking or sharing photos or videos of others
Respect any request not to be photographed or recorded
Be mindful of what you share on social media to protect group privacy
